Writ Petition Against Indian Rupee Symbol Design Selection Process Filed In Delhi High Court

New Delhi - RTI activist and one of the participants Mr. Rakesh Kumar Singh who had participated in national level " New Indian Rupee Symbol" design competition has submitted a writ petition in the Delhi High Court, against government of India - Ministry of Finance Department of Economic affairs notification dated 26th August, 2010 [Link].
As his and nine other RTI activists RTI's exposed the violation of guidelines and biased selection process in New Rupee Symbol design competition [link]. Even some National daily newspapers had also reported in this matter too [Link1] [Link 2].
Earlier, his PIL writ petition against Indian Rupee symbol design selection process was dismissed on territorial jurisdiction ground in Allahabad High Court Lucknow bench back in September, 2010 [Link].
Court hearing in this case is expected in this week only.
